New York: Doubleday, Doran & Co / Junior Books, 1931. First Edition. Cloth. Fair/No Jacket. Manning DeV. Lee - Frontis. Hardcover/ no DJ, Fair++ to Good condition- esp. considering age & genre. Illus. endpapers, color frontis, rough-cut side edge of text block. 273 pages. Stated First Edition, year 1931 also on title page- no note of further printings. Owner name & address, dated ""Christmas, 1931"" on 1st blank page. Green cloth binding shows some soil, rubbing, edge wear, couple small soft corners, light sun fade to spine. Black lettering & keys motif on front & spine intact & totally legible. Hinge split at back endpapers (binding a bit loose), but fabric underlay largely attached, except for 1"" at top. Endpapers clean & bright. Color frontis bright, crisp & unmarred. Text unmarked, w/ light toning. NOT ex library.
