Very rare copy of this popular boys' story. Undated, but school prize plate dated 1893 (8 years after 1st publication). Pictorial cloth boards with gilt title band to front board. Pictorial design to spine. Floral design to pastedowns. Frontispiece. 392pp + several pages of ads. CONDITION: boards worn and grubby (particularly back and spine). Dusting to edges. School gift plate to front pastedown, with corresponding making on ffep. Light tanning and foxing to prelims. Occasional age marks internally but text block mostly clean.
