This book is in good minus condition. Heavy chipping and scuffing to spine. Front board is loose from binding hanging on with mesh. Moderate staining to all edges of textblock. Old bookstore sticker and previous owner's signature on front endpaper. Moderate foxing to interior pages. Rear hinge is cracked exposing mesh at pastedown.
This book is an account of the author's experiences as a war correspondent for the Boston Journal in the eastern theater of the Civil War.
