About This Item
New York: Viking Press, 1943. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. The interior of the book is clean and tight. There is a former owner's bookplate on the verso of the half title page, but no other marks, additions, or signs of wear. The burgundy cloth covers are fresh, with minor wear at the top and bottom of the spine. The gilt spine lettering is still bright. The dust jacket is price-clipped, but is otherwise in excellent condition, with minor edgewear. A lovely copy. The attached scan gives a better idea of condition. Synopsis: This is about Jones, an enterprising London orphan, who slipped unnoticed into Queen Victoria's Buckingham Palace and lived there for weeks, with no one the wiser.
