London: John Murray, 1955. First Edition. Signed presentation copy from David Divine to his literary agent Dorothy Olding of Harold Ober Associates, inscribed by the author: “To Dorothy Olding, with my grateful thanks. David.” Also signed “David Divine” on the title page. Near fine opy with some darkening along the edges in a very good dust jacket with some darkening to the spine and some chipping and small tears. Basis of the motion picture directed by Jean Negulesco, starring Alan Ladd, Clifton Webb, and Sophia Loren (in her U.S. film debut).
