Reprint of the 1967 1st in this (very nice) book club format. Size is octavo (8vo), 8.5"/22cm h. Bound in publisher's burgundy cloth, gilt lettering to spine. Matte color dj. Plain white endpapers. 200 numbered pp plus eight glossy pp b&w illus to center. Author's intro, list of illus, prologue, epilogue, bibliography, index; along the way, covers (among others) Falkirk, Bannockburn, Halidon Hill, Sluys, Morlaix, Crecy, Neville's Cross, Mauron, Poitiers, Homildon Hill, Agincourt, Verneuil, Rouvray, Patay, and Flodden Field. Condition notes: DJ unclipped, incl on back flap a 'Friend's Enrolment Form' for the club, wear particularly to spine ends and top front where an old price sticker removed some color; binding shows spine ends rolled and corners bumped but no sunning; no notes or highlighting. A nice copy of a classic work. We personally inspect every book we offer.

Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in an old farmhouse full of books. Paul had been providing online booksales since 2008 through several popular online sales venues. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
