Hardcover. 428p., frontis-portrait of the author, front hinge starting and likely re-glued at half-title, good first edition stated in original black cloth with dulled lettering on spine and vignette front board, in unclipped but heavily worn and chipped dust jacket with tape repair on edges on back side, pieces missing at head and tail of spine with loss to the word "Bound.
