Algernon Charles Swinburne was a notable English poet, playwright, novelist, and critic. He is primarily remembered for writing about such taboo topics as lesbianism, cannibalism, sado-masochism, and anti-theism. Rebound in a half crushed morocco binding with marbled paper boards, endpapers and textblock. This copy is lacking the publisher's advertisements to the rear of the work. Front hinge split and tender. Internally firmly bound. Pages slightly age toned to extremities, with the odd spot, heavier to first and last few pages. Very Good
