About This Item
Lee and Shepard, Boston, Massachusetts, 1895. Hardcover. Very Good. Small volume in tan/yellow cloth with some soiling, not severe, light edge wear, spine sunned, tightly bound, free of marking pages clean--except for the three "solutions" pages in rear which is filled in completely, in pencil, all 116! I cannot say they are all correct. In the Preface the author states the answers will be printed "at a reasonable interval" in one or more newspapers.
An Example: My First is foremost of an English set/ My Second stalks through Illinois/ My Whole the ;title children get/ In woods and pastures, for a toy" Answer: Acorns. The poems have a pattern with each containing within "My First" My Second" "My Whole."
