First edition. From the dust jacket: "The text of Miss Sayers' famous series of broadcast plays on the life of Christ: together with (1) notes on the action and characters as furnished by Miss Sayers to the producer, (2) a long introduction by Miss Sayers, covering the theology and dramatic structure of the plays, (3) a foreword by Dr. Welch of the B..C., giving the history of the controversy aroused, (5) a brief note on the production by Val Gielgud, and (6) the complete cast for each play.
