Reproductions of various bookseller's marks includes three original marks tipped-in. The work was done in several bindings & a total limited edition of 447 copies (or 449 copies depending upon your math). This is copy #80, bound in an orange/brick colored cloth w/a paper label on the front cover. Fine cond.

Over four hundred printed examples, plus three pasted tags. Binding is tight, sturdy, and square; very minor wear to edges of orange cloth boards, printed plate on front board remains bold; illustrations and text also very good. Ships from Dinkytown (actually the exact building/unit that once housed Dingman's Dinkytown Antiquarian!) in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

[Minneapolis:] Dinkytown Books, [1986] One of 377 numbered copies out of a total edition of 447 copies. Full rust-colored cloth with printed paper label on front cover. . Tall, narrow octavo. Bibliography and index. Small bump at head of spine. Near fine. This book reproduces 444 original book marks used by various American book dealers, with a short preface by the compiler, and an essay by Michael Q. Adams on "Booksellers' Marks: A 'Tiny' Aspect of Bookselling History.' Each copy had tipped in several original specimens. This copy has the original labels of Gelber Lilienthal in San Francisco, Paul Elder's Books in San Francisco, and Dinkytown Books in Minneapolis. The Dinkytown label seems to be in all copies.
