About This Item
London: Maggs Bros. 1924. Small 4to, 320pp., coloured frontis., 88 plates, orig. printed wrappers, a little soiled, short tears to spine. "This catalogue was designed by Stanley Morison for the firm, but the partners were profoundly shocked to find that the full-stop had been dispensed with at the end of paragraphs. No other catalogue was printed in this style. While a modest format the contents of this catalogue have probably not been equalled in the firm's history."Maggs, A Catalogue of Maggs Catalogues.
