Green Cloth binding with Black impressing featuring illustrations, and a short poem by author. Some wearing on the extremes of the spine as well as the corners of the boards. Front and back endpapers torn at gutter position. Some staining on back endpapers.

Edward Lear (1812-1888) was a British author, poet, and illustrator best known for his "nonsense" poetry collected with his original illustrations in this edition. Lear's poetry and illustrations are significant for their humour, social satire, and their influence on illustrated children's literature.
