Includes 24 plastic pieces/markers This comes with a complete set of model soldiers: 10 knights, 2 barons, 2 heralds on horseback, and 2 barons, 10 knights, 4 sergeants, and 2 crossbowmen on foot. There is a full-color pop-up diorama of a tournament scene with Royal pavilion and onlookers. It has character cards and chance and hazard counters played on the hexagonal game area. Dr. Nick Slope is a military historian and archaeologist who has excavated widely in the UK, Israel/Palestine, Greece and Egypt. Nick is currently Chairman of The Nelson Society and is Hon Secretary of the Anglo Israel Archaeological Society. His most recent excavation (2002-present) is the rescuing of the remains of some of Nelson's sailors from Nelson's Island, Aboukir Bay, Egypt. Nick is also a passionate scholar of 19th century America, with a particular focus on the military history of the Civil War era, and the social and political history of the colonization of the American West.
