Hardback book bound in tan cloth-covered boards with brown titles and decoration on the front. Endpages are a map of the United States. Book has edge wear with wear through at lower corners, End pages are browned from the acid in the dust jacket. Former owner's name on first end page. The dust jacket has soiling with severe edge wear including large chips missing at spine. The dust jacket is now protected in Brodart jacket cover. Book is illustrated with approximately 30 photographs and over 100 line drawings and diagrams. Dust jacket is color illustration by Frederic Remington. Details on all aspects of Indian culture. 418 pages including the Index..
