Wm. Rutter & Co. Hardcover. Good. [nd], ca 1862-1877; the statement of canon by bishop Alonzo Potter as an epigraph is dated 1862, and there is a school prize inscription inked to FFEP dated 1877. Brown leather with gilt titling and decoration, additional decoration stamped in blind; moderate shelf-wear, rubbing; liquid damage to covers, textblock edges, endsheets, first and last few pages; dampstaining to margins of inner pages. Binding cracked at inner hinges, but intact, and is sound through textblock. Light sparse pencil markings.
