London, George Routledge, 1843. Hardback, 6.5 x 4 inches. Full navy blue calf leather fine binding, gilt decorations to boards and spine. Gilt dentelles. Marbled endpapers and page edges. In very good condition. Extremities rubbed, some handling marks to boards, small nicks to corners. Presentation inscription to front endpaper “Presented to C.H. Gibson, for attention to Writing, 1843.” Some occasional minor handling marks and minor light foxing spots else pages and plates very clean and tight. Lovely coloured illustrations. 222pp. Illustrated with 48 hand-coloured full-page plates.
