New Haven, Ct: Sidney Babcock, 1840. Paperback. Near Fine. Anderson, Alexander. 16 p.: 6 full-page woodcut illustrations; 11 cm. Green wrappers with elaborate borders. Front wrapper has title, imprint, and illustration of Mary, Joseph, and Jesus. Inside front and back wrapper contains decorative border and illustration, each signed with Alexander Anderson's AA. Back wrapper has advertisement for "Babcock's Moral, Instructive, and Entertaining Toy Books." Title page has decorative border and title vignette. Each page printed within decorative border. Undated gift inscription at head of title page. Contents: The Deliverance of the Israelites -- Destruction of the Egyptians -- Bread Rained from Heaven -- Moses Smiting the Rock in Horeb -- Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. Scarce. In Near Fine Condition: wrapper edges slightly rubbed; minimal light foxing; otherwise clean and bright.
