London, Ernest Benn, printed in Finland, 1953.. FIRST ENGLISH EDITION 1953, small 4to, 280 x 210 mm, 11 x 8¼ inches, cloth backed colour illustrated red boards with large round cut-out window on upper board, tiny cut-out hole on lower board, 24 pages. The hole in the upper board is designed to look as if a box lid had been opened. Delightful coloured illustration to every page, text inset. Some pages have cut-out portions for viewing the next scene. No inscriptions, tiny fray and tiny chip to cloth at head and tail of spine, covers a touch dusty, showing faintly on the title page due to the cut-out on the cover, 1 or 2 slight stains to covers and very slight wear to edges, faint damp stain to fore-edge margins of pages, showing mainly on uncoloured pages (see images), minute brown stain at top edge of 2 pages, no tears to page cut-outs.
