Hardback small quarto, no jacket, good plus condition, pictorial board cover, beige cloth spine, black & white drawings (some full-page), full-page colour plates including frontispiece, edges foxed, cover fore-edge rubbed (slight loss adjacent rear cover), spine minimally faded, toned spots some pages, some edgewear. Heavy, and extra postage may be requested to destinations outside Australia. 148 pp. This classic Blackie children's book from the 1930s is full of animal stories, and the many drawings and full-colour plates by Harry Rountree bring the stories to life. This book will keep most ages busy for many hours. (No date, but 1934, WorldCat. 148 unnumbered pages. There are 19 full-page colour plates, and 2 additional colour plates that spread over 2 full pages. All plates have text on the reverse side, so they are not stand-alone plates.).
