About This Item
London: Routledge & Kegan Paul (RKP), 1962. 1st ed.. Hardback small, dustjacket, good condition (in good dustjacket), edges little foxed, reverse side jacket foxed (littled toned, spine lightly faded, flaps lightly foxed), pages lightly toned, light foxing endpapers, some edgewear. 132 pp. David Armstrong, an Australian philosopher, argues that bodily sensations are nothing but impressions that physical happenings are taking place in the body, impressions that may correspond or fail to correspond to physical reality. He divides them into two classes. Firstly, sensations of warmth: pressure, motion, distension, from one class. aches, pains, itches, tickles. Secondly, erotic sensations. (From the RKP Studies in Philosophical Psychology series.).
