About This Item
London: T.N. Foulis, 1908. Hardcover. Fine. Woodroffe, Paul. 40, [6] p., color frontispiece, illustrated title page, and 2 leaves of color plates; 18 cm. Blue-and-beige silk cover with embossed title on a gilt background on front cover. All page edges gilt. Grey endpapers. Printed in lavender and black. Lavender ribbon bookmark. Illustrations are from watercolor paintings by Paul Woodroffe. No date of publication; T.N. Foulis published from 1904 to 1925. As with many of the titles Foulis published, this was issued more than once. Copies issued between 1913 and 1917 had a publisher's catalog including a series list on pp. [45-46] and listed the printer on p. [46]. In this copy the final leaf (pp. [45-46]) is blank, suggesting that this was an earlier publication. A 1910 edition has illustrated endpapers. Label on blank leaf following front endpapers and on back fixed endpaper for C.M. Darling Art Shop, Scranton, Pa. In Fine Condition: clean and bright.
