About This Item

UK: Peter Davies, 1967 The first (and seemingly the only) title to be written by Elleston Trevor under this pseudonym (it was later published under the name Adam Hall); calligraphic card with red border affixed to front free endpaper upon which the author inscribes this copy 'to Dick Maddick, with good wishes and respects from the new-boy, Roger Fitzalan; France, Spring 1967'; the card has been stuck on with cellotape, now browned, that has left a corresponding mark on the front flap and pastedown; good copy in red cloth, some flecks of dust and foxing on the edges, strain to stitching at two points but binding secure; d/w has some marks and rubbing, with chips to the corners, and some browning to the spine; photograph on the rear flap of the author (in profile) riding a horse; the chronicle of Richard of Rokewood, a tale of medieval passion, intrigue and sorcery.. Signed by Author. First Edition. Cloth. Good/Good.
