New York: Harper & Brothers. Grey, cloth-covered boards with red lettering and illustration; illustrated throughout by line drawings. No inscriptions; the book is straight with no bumps, minor general handling and ageing takes it just-off fine. The dust jacket is rubbed at the extremities with chipping to the top edges and two triangular losses to the back, the largest of which is 3.5cms base and 2.5cms height. There is some old reinforcement at the back of the jacket and some sunning to the spine, now protected by a clear, removable jacket, not price-clipped and visually better than it sounds. A collection of stories for children. A scarce book by the author of "A High Wind in Jamaica". Weysprings Books is a member of the Independent Online Booksellers Association (IOBA) and subscribes to the Association's Code of Ethics. . Near Fine. Hardcover. A near fine copy of the book in a very good original dustwrapper with price of 7/6s on the spine. Some chipping to the top of the spine and a couple of small chips to the top edge of the rear panel. New York, Grove Press, 2022, trade paperback, 272 pp, Advance Uncorrected Proof (ARC), New. Straight, tight and clean with no wear or markings in bright, pictorial card covers, no dustjacket as issued. The pieces in this collection, written between 1956 and 1961 and including short fiction, a radio play, and a stunning early novel, offer startling insights into Cohens imagination and creative process.
