About This Item
New York: Harper & Brothers. Grey, cloth-covered boards with red lettering and illustration; illustrated throughout by line drawings. No inscriptions; the book is straight with no bumps, minor general handling and ageing takes it just-off fine. The dust jacket is rubbed at the extremities with chipping to the top edges and two triangular losses to the back, the largest of which is 3.5cms base and 2.5cms height. There is some old reinforcement at the back of the jacket and some sunning to the spine, now protected by a clear, removable jacket, not price-clipped and visually better than it sounds. A collection of stories for children. A scarce book by the author of "A High Wind in Jamaica". Weysprings Books is a member of the Independent Online Booksellers Association (IOBA) and subscribes to the Association's Code of Ethics. . Near Fine. Hardcover. First US Edition, First Printing. 1940.
