Vienna: Waldheim, 1873 Gilt stamped decorated cloth. 4to. 100 pp., followed by 48 plates and numerous large foldout illustrations. Very good. Boards rubbed. Spine worn and sun faded. Some foldouts ripped, most intact. Some pages lightly foxed. Illustrated in black & white throughout with in text illustrations, plates and fold outs. A few color plates. Text in German.. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Hardcover. Very Good.

Description:
Wien: Verlag R. v. Waldheim, 1873. Hardcover. Very good. 2 volumes, large quarto (14 x 11 inches), half dark brown calf with handsome gilt decorations, light rubbing and wear, very good. Title pages with signatures of H. H. A. Wentzel (Hermann Wentzel, an important Berlin architect, 1820-1889). All edges gilded and with gauffering and small impressed red rosettes, quite fancy gauffered edges. Texts and plates very good, a little age toned & tanned. Each volume with 100 pp. of text and 48 engraved plates, a few of which are in color or tinted, mainly of decorative arts, interior design, architectural interiors, furniture and objects, many designed by Teirich himself, others by Storck, Alois Hauser and other notables. Lovely bindings and with fine provenance.
