NY: Frederick A. Stokes Company; (no date). First Edition . Hardcover. Presumed first US edition, very good- with no dust jacket. Red cloth spine over black cloth boards, with gilt bust of Bismarck on front board. Front hinge is almost completely gone (literally hanging by one thread). Pages are browned throughout, owner's bookplate on front pastedown. Translated by Henry Hayward. Includes an appendix; 249 pages.
