Albany: University of The State of New York, 1914. These volume measure approximately 12" x 9.5" with 501, 717 numbered pages respectively. These volumes are in good plus condition. Moderate bumping and chipping to both spines. Gilt lettering on spine faded but still visible. Moderate scuffing and staining to all boards. Moderate staining and foxing to all edges of texblock. Front and rear hinges on volume 2 are cracked but no mesh exposed. Moderate foxing to interior pages of both volumes. Please view the many other rare titles available for purchase at our store. Second edition, Part 1 published 1910 and Part 2 published 1914. Unjacketed hardbacks, green cloth covers as shown with this listing are rubbed, bumped and scuffed. Part 1 has 502pp and 42 four-color plates and Part 2 has 720pp and 64 four-color plates – many black and white photographs throughout the text of both parts. Plate #32 and pages 491,493, 497 and 499 have small nicks on the bottom edge. There is some minor water damage to a few index pages and the endpapers to Part 1. The bindings are firm, although the weight of the book blocks are causing some lifting away from the guards. Previous owner bookplates on first free endpaper in both parts.
