Hardcover with gold leaf embossed lettering and illustration on the front cover. Gold leaf lettering on the spine. Press stamped back cover. Some shelf wear. Staining on the upper front cover. Mild foxing and age-toning throughout. Previous owner's inscription on the front end papers. Good condition.

The back advertisement, also for James Gardner is for "Hoofs of Animals Cured, Preserved, Polished and Mounted in New and Original Designs as Inkstands, Matchboxes &c. "
