About This Item

Eight volumes in four. 336 hand-colored engraved plates, including frontispiece. Contemporary brown English straight-grain morocco with gilt lettering to spine and gilt fillets. Five raised bands on each. Marbled endpapers and edges. Slight foxing to initial pages not affecting plates. Bookplates to front pastedown of each volume. Leather to hinges separating, but binding fully attached. Wear to the top and tail of spines (see image). Small neat signature and date to rear of front endpaper of volume I. Please expect extra postage as this is a larger set.
