Illustrated with a color frontispiece and black and white plates, most are from photographs. Quarto: [12],lxxiv,[22],813 pp. Bound in unbleached linen, title printed in brown to spine and upper board, endpaper maps. This copy belonged to Aaron C. Bagg, one of the co-authors; it is signed by him on the verrso of the ffep. and contains many marginal notes and some underlinings in the text by him. Binding is slightly sunned at spine and shows negligible dust-soling, else fine.
