Illustrated with one hundred colour plates. Collated complete. A detailed ornithological study on the birds of Britain as well as those that visit, with commentary on their characteristics, habits, plumage, song, and more. Written by John Lewis James Bonhote, an English zoologist, ornithologist, and writer. Illustrated by Henry Eeles Dresser, an English business man, ornithologist, and illustrator. Rebacked in the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing and light shelf wear to the extremities. Fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting, predominantly to the first and last few pages. A small closed tear to the half title. Very Good
