Detailed review of the unusual aquatic species living in and around this large inland lake. Presents life history, ecology, and population trends of the California Gulls, White Pelicans, Double-crested Cormorants and Great Blue Herons. There is also an account of the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge. Name stamp of the Ron Sauey Memorial Library on rear endpaper and top page edge. Ron Sauey was co-founder of the International Crane Foundation, Baraboo, Wisconsin. Blank paper pocket on the rear endpaper. No other ownership marks.
