About This Item
1. LOVE IN BLOOM, 1934
Written by Leo Robin and Ralph Rainger, for the film She Loves Me Not, starring Bing Crosby, Mariam Hopkins and Kitty Carlisle.
Three pages of music plus cover, in superb condition.
The cover is a rare full-color printing.
2. CINDERELLA's FELLA, 1933.
Cinderella's Fella, by Arthur Freed and Nacio Herb Brown
From the pre-Code musical film Going Hollywood, a Cosmopolitan Production released by MGM 1933. Cosmopolitan Pictures was the company founded by Davies' lover, William Randolph Hearst.
The back cover, and consequently the last page of music, is missing here. It's four pages of music, in very good condition, plus the front cover, which is in frail condition.
The cover is a collector's item though--Crosby and Davies did not have a good relationship and that is clear from this photo.
3. IN THE COOL, COOL, COOL OF THE EVENING, 1951
This song was written by Hoagy Carmichael and Johnny Mercer and was a major hit for Bing Crosby and Jane Wyman. It stayed on the charts for 11 weeks, peaking at #1. That year, it was used in the film Here Comes the Groom and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song.
It is 2 pages of music plus covers and is in good condition. There's wear at the edges.
4. JUST AN ECHO IN THE VALLEY, 1934
This music is in frail condition but it can be restored, and used.
