No marks to textblock edges. Usual toning to leaves & dustwrapper offsetting to endpaper o/w fine. No inscriptions. The very good+/near fine dustwrapper is complete with some light edgewear to extremities & a couple of short closed tears. Original price of 13s6dnet on front flap. An attractive copy importantly without the heavy toning to spine. The novel which was the basis for the 1963 classic film with Tom Courtenay and Julie Christie. Yorkshire teenager, Billy Fisher is unable to stop lying especially to this three girlfriends; he is trapped in his boring job and living with his working class parents - he dreams of Ambrosia, the name he has given for his fictional idyllic country where he will release the shackles of his everyday.
