Hardback small, dustjacket, very good condition (in fair dustjacket), red cloth covers, sepia & single-colour plates (including frontispiece portrait), black & white vignettes, edges little foxed, pieces missing top edge & base spine jacket (front flap large-clipped affecting text, small edge tears, reverse side little toned & foxed), edgewear, old price marks (small biro mark), minimal annotation front flyleaf (few digits), protected by removable semiarchival plastic sleeve. 192 pp. Detective Air Inspector Biggles and colleagues track down gold nuggets stolen from an Australian mining town. The investigation takes him to France and Algeria. (Second impression, originally published 1951.)
