First edition, first impression; 8vo; illustrations, including colour frontispiece, light foxing to text block, hinge pulled on frontis, otherwise binding tight; publisher's pictorial brown cloth, blue lettering to spine and upper cover, dark blue topstain, minor rubbing to head of spine, corners slightly bumped, with the unclipped pictorial dustjacket, corners chipped, spine ends chipped with loss, large closed tear to rear panel, a few short closed tears to top edge.
