Reviews

On Mar 13 2020, a reader said:
Also published as Buffalo Grass this novel captures the drama of the forging of an empire as it follows two men who fought through the Civil War together who continue to the lonely and wind swept Kansas prairie to build a town, and a community out of nothing. This book made a great moive starring Alan Ladd, also. You might want to check that out. Frank Gruber created some memorable works during his long career, and this is by far his longest and best book. Still written in his inimitable style of short crisp sentences, and shifting scenes, the book reads like a movie. You never get bored, or weighed down by lengthy character interspectiion. His work is action and reaction.

About Beth's Book Rescue

This is my first adventure into the book selling and collecting world. This is a hobby for me so once I am able to make a profit, I plan on making at least a 25% of the profit donation to The North American Council on Adoptable Children (or another children focused charity, I'm open to recommendations!)I am currently in the process of cataloguing a large number of books, so a lot don't yet have descriptions or pictures. If you are interested in a book that doesn't have these, feel free to message me the title or inventory number and I will gladly send you more info.
