New York: Duell, Sloan & Pearce, 1947. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/Fair. 8vo 8" - 9" tall. A perfectly serviceable reference copy; nothing fancy, but complete and sturdy. Sunning to edges of blue cloth covers, else lightly toned, clean, and unmarked. Dust jacket present, Brodart-protected, but moderately worn along edges, three tips clipped, chipping to spine head and foot, tape-repaired closed tear along top of front panel, tape-repaired bit chip at front bottom tip. Map endpapers, being of the U.S. Edited by Erskine Caldwell, being another fine contribution to the American Folkways series, which grew out of the W.P.A. Federal Writers Project. Six chapters of Texas-based Americana.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
