Libraries of the Claremont, 1980 4to (28 cm), half-title, frontispiece, XX, 219, (3) pp, 30 plates on 15 ff. Publisher's cloth and dust jacket. Limited to 500 copies, designed and printed at the Arion Press, San Francisco. The paper is a special making of Utopian by the Curtis Paper Company. The binding was done by the Schuberth Bookbindery. Annotated by David Kuhner, cataloged by Tanya Rizzo, with an introduction by Cyril Stanley Smith. Herbert Clark Hoover (1874-1964) was an American engineer, businessman, and politician who served as the 31st President of the United States from 1929 to 1933. His collection of books on mining and metallurgy, mostly acquired before 1914, was transferred to Claremont College in 1970. The catalogue comprises 912 entries. A fine copy of an attractively produced catalogue.
