INSCRIBED by the Author on the front free endpaper, 8vo, bright blue buckram with gold lettering on spine and front cover, archival mylar-protected full color photographic dust jacket (unclipped) depicting biblical stamps, illustrated with B&W images of such stamps on Old Testament/Tanakh subjects,usefully indexed, [viii] + 230 pages. Ord Matek (1922 - 1912), was a wonderfully humane and helpful, former director of education at Temple Jeremiah, Winnetka, Illinois; served at Temple Beth Emet; as well as Temple Isaiah Israel, Chicago. In addition, he was Associate Professor in the Jane Addams Graduate School of Social Work, University of Illinois (1983-85). Very useful and appealing collection of stamps illustrating major figures (and themes) of the Bible / Tanakh with commentary.
