Fine. 8vo; xxxi, 1243 pages, handsomely gift bound in full brown Niger moroco, extra-gilt spine of seven panels with blindstamped sstraps, all edges gilt, inner dentelles, marbled endpapers, discreet inked gift inscription on verso of free endpaper. "In this edition the text of the King James Version is generally followed except in the case of Proverbs, Job, Ecclesiastes and the Songs of Songs, where that of the Revised Version is used". With an Introduction by poet Laurence Binyon. Handsomely printed on India paper by Carl Ueberreuter at Vienna, Austria. Note: different copies vary in pagination by a few or as many as thirty pages: this pirnting ends with "A Chapter Key To The Bible".
