Catch a glimpse of the entire Bible quickly with this Classic! "The aim of the book has been to furnish Bible students with an outline of study which will enable them to gain a certain familiarity with its contents…that will give them some insight into the purpose, occasion and general setting of each book of the Bible." The contents begins with a most valuable section, Introductory Matters, that includes; The Names of God, The Sacred Officers, The Sacred Occasions, The Sacred Institutions of Worship, & Seven Great Covenants. It is then followed by the section, The Inspiration of Scripture. Then each book of the Bible is discussed with various sections such as: The Name, The Author, Characteristics, Purposes, Analysis, Messages, & Study & Discussion. Josiah Blake Tidwell was a Baptist educator and writer who also wrote another very popular study manual, The Bible Period by Period. The Preface states that this is the 9th edition; June 1963, 13th printing.
This is Good++ but would be Very Good to almost New if it didn't have a few pages underlined. But only 12 out of 233 pages have underlining and the underlining was done with a ruler. All pages are intact, not marred by any notes, or highlighting. NO highlighting! NOT ex-Library. There is NO name but there is an ExLibris inside. The top of the spine has a very small tear (1/16 inch); no creases. Binding tight hinges strong. Almost perfect tan textured boards with brown lettering on spine; NO corner bumps. Each book visually inspected. The pictures depict the actual book you will receive. Countries other than the USA will require an additional shipping cost. Ships with Tracking Number!
