About This Item
Edinburgh: T. & T. Clark, 1892. Cloth. Good. 7.5" by 5.5". None. A smart copy of this scarce work on theological work on the heavens and the beings found there. Third edition. Scarce work. A book for the people, rather than a disquisition for the learned, aiming to explain all that can be gathered from the Bible regarding the world that lies beyond the stars and into the heavens. With chapters on God, Cherubim, Angels, Saints, children in heaven, death and resurrection. Written by Thomas Hamilton, a Scottish soldier, theologian, and author. In the original blue cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Minor fading to the spine and the odd small mark to the boards. Front hinge starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot and light age toning to the extremities. Contemporary ink inscription to the title page dated 1884. Good
