First printing. Size is octavo (8vo), 8.375"/21.2cm h. Bound in publisher's tan glossy textured wrappers. [1-13], 14-176. Author's preface, t-o-c, intro (by Prof Philip S. Dybvig of St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN), 12 chaps/sermons. Condition notes: very good. Binding slightly cocked, light wear to wrappers, light soiling to edges. Former owner's marks to interior (Dr. R.A. Peterson, owner of The Out of Print BookShoppe on Chicago Ave in Minneapolis): inventory number stamp to half-title and title pages; signature to title page and again to inside rear wrapper, with date; also included is a bookmark from the BookShoppe. An occasional typo struck out with pen, else unmarked. Pages lightly tanned. The author was pastor of the First Lutheran Church in Eau Claire and these sermons were delivered by radio during WWII, then printed and collected in this volume. We personally inspect every book we offer.

Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in an old farmhouse full of books. Paul had been providing online booksales since 2008 through several popular online sales venues. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
Furrowed Brow Books' goal is to offer an eclectic selection, while providing specialty offerings in Eastern Orthodoxy and Byzantine civilization, theology, Christian mysticism, science fiction/fantasy (Inklings emphasis), and military history.
