Betty, who inadvertently angers the fairies by wearing a fairy crown and dancing on fairy ground. The fairies decide to banish Betty to a boat, where she bravely faces several hardships. Betty's courage endears her to the fairies, who relent and take her to fairyland. Betty comes away from her adventure with fairy souvenirs and new friends! The Betty Fairy Book is a reproduction of a 1915 title. Laughing Elephant's version retains the great Margaret Evans Price's original illustrations. Price's pictures are pretty and fanciful, stylized yet without being cartoonish.
