Illustrator: Photographic and Illustrations. foreword by Charles Frost, President, National Rose Society of Western Australia (1939-49), preface by author list of coloured plates, recommended books and index. Colour photographic frontispiece  showing the Rose Edna Harkness, a hybrid tea rose. The text is illustrated with another nine coloured plates of roses, numerous black-and-white photographs and the occasional black-and-white illustration. Green coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. A book on how to grow, prune, graft and generally enjoy the gardening of roses, for Australian conditions. Softening and fraying to the backstrip edges and rubbing to the book corners and lower book edges. Foxing can be seen to all surfaces of the book along with flecking. Small white mark  paper that has adhered to the book, to the rear panel. Browning of the textblock edges and pages with faint foxing to the textblock edges. The results of insect activity can be seen to the free front end paper. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 295, [1] pages,. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
