Thick 12mo. xviii + 544 pp, contains stories by Dreiser, Ferber, Sherwood Anderson, Fannie Hurst, Jean Toomer, and Hemingway, to whom the book is dedicated, with the spelling "Ernest Hemenway" on the dedication page, the table of contents, and in "My Old Man". with additional authors' stories, and, for the librarian or the bibliophile, a list of capsule author biographies with stories that made the honor roll. 5.5" x 7.7" black cloth boards, gilt spine (dimmed) & fr cover letters (bright). Binding tight and square. pages clean, top text block darkened with age, rear gutter hinge paper split 2" from bottom, with hinge holding firm. In glassine mylar wrapper. .
