A mystery novel following a series of deaths investigated by Bertie, son of Queen Victoria, Prince of Wales who would one day be King Edward VII. Written in the "golden age" tradition of detective fiction, intended as a homage to Agatha Christie in the year of her centenary. Signed by the author to the title page. Peter Lovesey is a British author of detective novels and short stories,mainly known for his characters of Sergeant Cribb, Victorian-era London detective, and Peter Diamond, modern day detective in Bath. Complete with its original, unclipped dust wrapper. In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally lovely with minor shelf wear only. Signed by the author to the title page.
