A very nice first printing of the first American edition [Knopf New York 1984], signed by author Len Deighton directly on the title page and scarce as such. The book is in near fine condition with a softening of the binding at the top of the spine but with no remainder marks, with no owner inscriptions or highlighting and no staining or marking. The dust jacket is in near fine condition, price-clipped, with some toning but no creases, chips or tears and minimal shelf wear. It is now protected by an archival cover which is easily removable, with no tape or adhesive used. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
Synopsis
Berlin Game is a 1983 spy novel by Len Deighton, and the first novel in the Game, Set and Match trilogy, being succeeded by Mexico Set and London Match, all featuring the character of SIS employee Bernard Samson. Deighton's novel Winter (1987) is a prequel to the series, covering the years 1900-1945 and providing the backstory to some of the characters.
